Over one-fifth of travellers from the city prefer travelling by business class, says the study conducted by Leadcap Ventures for Emirates airline.
Contrary to the popular belief that Trivandrumites are not that fond of luxury, a recent survey shows that one in five air travellers from the city prefer expensive Business Class.
The survey was conducted by Emirates airline and found that a good number of city travellers prefer business class in flights over economy. “Over one-fifth of travellers from the city prefer travelling by business class”, says the study conducted by Leadcap Ventures for Emirates airline.
Air travellers from Trivandrum and Hyderabad ranked punctuality higher compared to in-flight experience.
The study also shows that majority of air travellers from Trivandrum go directly to their workplace once they reach the destination. The survey was conducted recently on travel trends of 1,100 travellers across airports and malls in Mumbai, Hyderabad and Trivandrum.
That’s not all, air travellers from Trivandrum ranked punctuality higher compared to in-flight experience. Trend of booking in advance continues be on the rise with 40% passengers claiming to book tickets a month prior to their travel date. Meanwhile in Mumbai, people book air tickets 23 days in advance. Most passengers prefer travel agencies for booking tickets over airline websites and apps. A little less than 10% of the respondents use e-commerce portals like Yatra, Makemytrip etc. for booking their tickets.
Another interesting finding is that, travellers from Trivandrum like to indulge in duty-free-shopping prior to boarding a flight.
Comfortable seats, service-oriented staff and in-flight dining are the top three components, which would enhance travel experience to international destinations, according to most respondents.
