AAI Releases Colour-coded Zone Map of Trivandrum Airport to Simplify NOC norms for Buildings!

The CCZM maps permissible top elevation in the areas around the airport through different colour-coded grids.

Airport Authority of India has released a new colour-coded zoning map (CCZM) of Trivandrum airport, which will indicate the permissible height of buildings in the areas around the airport through different colour-coded grids.

With this, the city Corporation can now issue building permits for constructions in 20-km radius of the airport for the ‘approved levels’ that figure in the CCZM Map. Henceforth, No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the AAI is not needed for constructions for height less than or equal to the maximum permissible height (above mean sea level).

Right now NOC is need for any construction within the 20 km radius of the airport.  NOC is to be obtained from the AAI to assess whether the construction affects aircraft operation in Trivandrum airport as well as the overflying aircrafts.
