Current status of National Games venues detailed

The construction and renovation works of other National Games venues at various districts are also progressing at a fast pace.

National Games Secretariat Kerala has released a press piece stating the current status of the various venues for the upcoming National Games 2015. According to the report, the construction and renovation of various venues across the state is fast progressing. Only projects worth Rs 1crore or more are outlined in the press release. All the woks are completed within a period of 20 months from December 1st 2012 to July 31st 2014.

As per the press release, construction of the International Multi-purpose Stadium at Karyavatom Trivandrum is 85% over. Construction of Games Village at Menamkulam is 70% complete. New court for CSN Squash and balance works at Sreepadam Attingal is 95% complete. The works on the Swimming pool at Trivandrum Water Works is nearly over while the synthetic surfacing works of the CSN stadium is 85% over. Other pending works include renovation of LNCPE campus, flood light at University stadium, shooting range at Vattiyoorkavu and Synth surface at Trivandrum Tennis Club.

Work Progress

Completed works include Pirappancode swimming pool and Jimmy George indoor stadium. Renovation works at Chandrasekharan Nair stadium, GV Raja Stadium, Vellayanai and university stadium are also fully completed.

The construction and renovation works of other National Games venues at various districts are also progressing at a fast pace.
