Digital Victory Stand for National Games Kerala unveiled

The use of the stand will be subject to clearance by the Indian Olympic Association and Games Technical Committee.

Medals for winners of various events in the upcoming National Games in Kerala will be presented on a Digital Victory stand. The state-of-the-art digital victory stand is the first of its kind technology to be used in the country.

The prototype of the product was unveiled by Minister for Sports Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan at Chandrasekharan Nair stadium. Cultural and medal presentation committee chairman Soorya Krishnamoorthy conceptualised the idea and a mock presentation ceremony was also held to show the working of the stand.

During the medal presentation ceremony, visuals representing the winner’s state (gold, silver and bronze) will be displayed on the video wall along with background music. The National Games theme music and visuals from the winners’ states will also be played. Audience sitting anywhere in the stadium will be able to know who the winner is.  Digital stand will also display various information about track and field events.

The use of the stand will be subject to clearance by the Indian Olympic Association and Games Technical Committee. The digital stand will have to follow the approved norms and guidelines of Indian Olympic Association.

Kerala will host 35th National Games 2015 from Jan 31 to Feb 14 next year.
