The Sooryakanthi exhibition ground in Kanakakunnu to be adorned with flower. This year’s Trivandrum Flower Show will go on from November 3rd to the 15th with more than two lakh flowers on display.
Plants and flowers from around the globe and display of ornamentation made from vegetable carvings will be in the spotlight. Apart from this, there will also be a fashion show for the kids and the entrants will compete for the titles ‘Pushparaja’ and ‘Pushparani’.
Art and Cultural programs, a food expo serving nadan delicacies of Malabar, Payasam Mela, and a lot of fun and games will be part of the the show, being organised by the Malankara Social Service Society, Organic Products Development Centre and Kerala Today. The expo will also showcase installations of public figures like Mammooty and Mohanlal, cartoon characters like Dora etc., made with flowers and fruits. These installations will act as selfie points and there are going to be 15 such selfie points for visitors to click pictures.
“It is the first time that such installations are included in the flower show. These installations will be set up by experts in the field from Bangalore and Tamil Nadu. Considering the interest of kids, cartoon characters are included,” said event director Subhash Anchal to TOI.
