The aim of G-Rider is to cut down the use of vehicles in Technopark. According to GTech, as many as 4000 four-wheelers come to Technopark every day. This figure doesn’t include company cabs, taxis and pickup and drop-off facilities. And 90% of these 4-wheelers that come to Technopark are single-passenger cars. Plus, there are 5000+ two-wheelers making getting a parking space at Technopark a luxury.

G-Ride automatically matches co-workers and neighbours and help them travel together to work. With the G-Ride, makers behind the app aim to bring down the figure by half. The app was launched to address various issues such as parking facility and safety concerns of employees at Technopark.

Several IT Companies in Bangalore and Chennai encourage carpooling and ride-sharing. GTech claims that G-Ride will soon become the largest carpool service in the country. The state government will also offer support to G-Ride.
