Cutting-edge sports technologies supported by most modern equipments will offer a visual banquet to spectators at the 35th National Games that is scheduled to be held on January 2015. It will be the first completely technology-enabled sporting event in the country. Let’s see how technology will become a real game changer this time.

Hi-tech TSR System

For the first time in the history of the National Games, the hi-tech TSR (Timing, Scoring & Results) System which can accurately delivers the results instantaneous to the judges and spectators will be used. Earlier, this technology was only used in international sporting events. The advantage of the system is that it can be hooked graphically with the host TV broadcaster.

Instant live score

With this system, scores will be instantly displayed through the metric mechanism in all venues and will ensure transparency in results. The videos can be replayed on big screens at the venue giving an in-depth analysis of athletes’ performances. The instant replay system will be available for events like boxing, taekwondo, fencing and wrestling, to prevent any attempts of foul-play by participants.

Electronic Starting Gun & Photo finish cameras

Athletics events will kick off with an electronic starting gun that has an array of unique sensors to monitor any foul starts. The photo finish cameras that can capture 5000 frames per second will be uses to record results with maximum accuracy.

Electronic Distance Measuring (EDM)

For sporting events like for short put; javelin throws and jumps Electronic Distance Measuring tool will be used to measure the distance more accurately. Apart from these, event like Cycling, Archery and Yachting will also receive high-tech equipments resulting in producing perfect outcomes.

Giant Screens and LCD Metric Display

Large-sized LCD televisions and electronic score boards will be provided in the venues of popular games like Tennis, Basketball, Hockey, Badminton, Volley ball and Football. The 25.7cm LCD Metric Display used in Aquatics event will have red, green and blue variations. This high end technology will help referrers ascertain foul starts and finishes if any, occurring involuntarily or otherwise during the events.

With all the latest high tech systems in place, the 35th National Games will offer viewers a unique gaming experience. The 2-week-long National Games will start from January 31 and ends on February 14, 2015. The events will be held across 29 venues spread over 7 districts. 11500 participants will compete for 1200 medals.
