Kochi and Trivandrum among top 10 destinations for foreign travellers
Kochi and Trivandrum is among the top 10 cities for overseas travellers to India. Kochi is in the 9th position while Trivandrum is in the 10th position. Chennai continues to remain among the number one destination for overseas travellers to India.
Along with Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Goa, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Jaipur continued to be in the top seven travel destination for foreigners. Kolkata at the 8th spot is the new entrant. Agra, which was at ninth position in the first half of 2013, did not make it to the top 10 destinations this time.
Dubai Becomes the number one position among the international destinations, for Indian travellers for the first six months of 2014. Previously Bangkok was the number one overseas destination for Indians. Bangkok had been the number one overseas destination for Indian travellers for two consecutive years. Singapore, Hong Kong and Pattaya are the South East Asian countries that saw maximum visitors. London and New York continued to retain the 4th and 5th spot respectively. Paris which was in the 10th place in 2013 has now moved upwards to the 8th place. Las Vegas in US and Kuala Lumpur are in the ninth and tenth position respectively.
