KV Pattom Ranked India’s No 1 Government School!

Established in 1964, Kendriya Vidyalaya Pattom, is among the oldest KVs in the country .

Kendriya Vidyalaya, Pattom, has been ranked the best Government Day School in the country in the Education World India School Rankings 2015.  Previously unranked KV Pattom, trumped last year’s list topper KV-IIT Madras in the category.

Over 800 schools were assessed on various parameters raging from academics to community service.

The award will be presented at the Education World India School Rankings awards nite at the Taj Vivanta in New Delhi on September 26. The ranking was prepared jointly by Bengaluru-based national magazine Education World India and C fore, the Delhi-based market research and opinion polls agency.

Over 800 schools were assessed on various parameters raging from academics to community service.  In the last four months 120 field personnel of C fore interviewed 11,660 people including parents, principals, teachers and students in 27 cities and asked them to rate schools in their region on a 10-point scale across 14 parameters of educational excellence.

Previously unranked KV Pattom, trumped last year’s list topper KV-IIT Madras in the category.

Some of the parameters include academic reputation, co-curricular education, life skills education, parental involvement, faculty competence, internationalism, leadership quality, sports education, teacher welfare and development, management quality, community service, conflict management, value for money and infrastructure provision.

One of the oldest in the country

Established in 1964, Kendriya Vidyalaya Pattom, is among the oldest KVs in the country and has been widely accepted as one of the best schools in the country. KV Pattom recently celebrated its golden jubilee. The school also bagged the top rank in CBSE Class 12 examination this year.
