After a hiatus of 2 years, ‘La Gallery 360’ is back with ‘Leap Year’ painting exhibition to enthuse the city. The exhibition curated by Latha Kurien Rajeev features paintings of 9 artists namely Sunil Laal, Vikram Valsala, Aji Adoor, Aneesh V, Narayanan Kutty K, Vani Naduvath, Sreejith V C, Nagapoornima Jundalle and Manoj Kannan.
The exhibition which commenced on Monday will continue to lure the city till next Monday (February 8th) at Alliance Francaise de Trivandrum, Vazuthacaud.
Latha Kurien Rajeev, the curator of the exhibition is really thrilled about the ongoing exhibition.
“Soon after its launch, ‘La Gallery 360’ created a big impression among the people of city. Everyone was waiting for innovative ventures from us every time. However, due to unexpected circumstances I had to shut down La Gallery temporarily. Sunil Laal, one of the artists of this exhibition, approached me to conduct an exhibition during this break. Even though I had inhibition at the beginning, the support of Sunil and other artists encouraged me to go forward with full confidence. With Alliance Francaise de Trivandrum giving space for our exhibition, the show was on. I was able to do it with the support of these artists, people who love me and love art. Yes, we did it!” she added.
Latha now plans to conduct a public exhibition for Kerala State Women’s Development Corporation (KWSDC) which will be an exhibition cum photographic competition. She assures that it will be something gigantic and will absorb the city. She also believes that people’s support is a must need for any initiative to succeed.
