Raksha Safe Drive, a Start-up, incubated in Kerala Start-up Mission has come up with an amazing product called ‘Safe Drive’ which can save people from road accidents.
Currently, the first alert is initiated mostly by kind bystanders who inform about the incident.
Touted as India’s first Smart Road Safety Platform Safe Drive is an automobile gadget capable of automatic crash detection. In case of a massive impact, the device triggers phone calls to RakshaNet command centre managed by a team of safety professionals, who in turn will alert emergency services in the vicinity. Powered by Internet of Things (IoT), Safe Drive is connected 24×7 to a network of emergency services such as medical, police, fire, breakdown etc, all at the touch of button. Currently there is no structured means to alert emergency services, first alert is initiated mostly by kind bystanders who inform about the incident.
The SafeDrive gadget also has a ‘panic button’ which can connect the passenger of a car with emergency services. SafeDrive device will also help the user by alerting people in family or friends circles during emergencies. The device is also capable of GPS based location tracking, reporting telemetrics and evaluating driver performance.
Raksha Safe Drive is currently listed in crowd funding campaign site Kickstarter and is open for funding. The campaign will close on December 7th, 2015. Interested people can back the project by donating a small amount. Currently, the team has managed to raise more than $8500+ from 100 supporters.
