National award winner Salim kumar will be seen in Rupesh Paul’s upcoming film Kamasutra 3D. Salim kumar will play the role of a motley court jester (a person employed to entertain the king). The actor will be one of the two South Indians in the film which will have a star-studded cast, with Bollywood actors.
“I feel that it is going to be the most challenging role in my career because humour here has to be conveyed through expression; not language,” says Salim Kumar while Speaking about his role in Kamasutra 3D.
Salim Kumar has very few dialogues in the film which will be in Hindi and English in the respective versions.
“We generally have these notions of Malayalam humour, Tamil humour, Bollywood humour and the like. But humour needs no language, as is evident from the films of comedians like Charlie Chaplin. To make a diverse audience laugh is no easy task. But I’m confident.” he added.
Speaking about Salim’s role in the film, director Rupesh Paul said that Salim Kumar’s character will be a part of the 14th century Mughal palace who eases tense situations. “His role will be on the lines of a Chakyarkoothu performance. I’m sure this character will give him international exposure.” The director said.
