The Startup Design Villages will come up at Trivandrum, Kochi and Kozhikode with the support of Kerala Startup Mission. These start-up villages will be provided with all infrastructural facilities and each of these would have seating for around 50 professionals. Apart from architects, the centre will also have other related professionals such as structural engineers and service engineers who will provide valuable service to architects and design engineers.

The start-up village architecture and design will be developed in a phased manner to accommodate more professionals.

“It is an encouraging scenario that Kerala could rise to the level of providers of architectural services for the whole world, along the lines of the IT field. The young architects will be ready to start practice on their own, with about two years’ training under prominent architects,” said BR Ajit, the new Chairman of IIA.
