Suriya to take on an international villain in ‘Singam-2’

Suriya is concentrating on action based roles recently and it seems like things are about to get interesting for the fans.

Two years ago, Suriya took up an action avatar in ‘Singam’ and delivered a super hit; now he is back with Director Hari in Singam 2. The movie is a sequel to Singam and this time the story moves on to South Africa from Tuticorin. The latest news from the team says Director Hari will rope in a Hollywood actor for Singam 2 to play the baddie.

“The story of ‘Singam 2‘ starts from Tuticorin to South Africa; we are planning to shoot a very prominent fight sequence with a new villain in South Africa.” Hari said. “Prakash Raj played the villain in Singam and we want a more powerful baddie for the sequel. So we are on the hunt for a suitable actor from Hollywood,” He added.

This is the second time Suriya facing an international villain, after Vietnamese American actor Johnny Tri Nguyen in ‘7am Arivu’. Like Singam, Singam 2 will also be an action packed masala film. The team already shot some important sequences in Chennai and Thoothukudi and are now moving to South Africa, where songs and the hair-raising stunts will be shot.

“The South Africa action scenes will be power-packed stunt sequences in the film. In Singam 2, Suriya will be more aggressive and energetic than the first one. So, South Africa will be ideal for a fiery action sequence.” , the director said.

Anushka and Hansika will be the leading ladies in the film. Other leading actors include Vivek, Santhanam, Vijayakumar, Radha Ravi, Nasser, Rahman and Bollywood actor Mukesh Rishi. Suriya is concentrating on action based roles recently and it seems like things are about to get interesting for the fans.
