The tickets could be scanned using either a bar code scanner or a smart phone. The same measure was established during the FIFA under-17 football match in Kochi.
The T20i tickets got sold out in the blink of an eye and some unlucky fans couldn’t bag tickets to the match. Anticipating the possibilities of producing fake tickets and desperate efforts by fans to catch a glimpse of the live match, security systems have been strengthened. The tickets distributed through the Federal Bank outlets contain a unique bar code and tickets will be scanned at the entrance on the 7th of November.
The system has been followed in other parts of the country and will be introduced to Kerala in the field of cricket for the first time through the India-NZ match. The tickets could be scanned using either a bar code scanner or a smart phone. The same measure was established during the FIFA under-17 football match in Kochi.
