Three More Places in Trivandrum To Become Free Wi-Fi Hotspot Points!

The Wi-Fi spots will come up in Napier museum complex, Shanghumughom beach and Kovalam beach. These three places attract foreign and domestic tourists and hence Wi-Fi Spot will become most beneficial to them.

Three more spots in Trivandrum will become Wi-Fi Spot thanks to the funds from the MPLADS 2017-18 of Shashi Tharoor, MP.

The Wi-Fi spots will come up in Napier museum complex, Shanghumughom beach and Kovalam beach. These three places attract foreign and domestic tourists and hence Wi-Fi Spot will become most beneficial to them.

Installing Wi-Fi at Napier museum complex will cost ₹9.49 lakh and at Sanghumughom beach it will cost ₹3.70 lakh. At Kovalam, it will be ₹7.02 lakh.

The Wi-Fi facility is being installed by RailTel Corporation of India under the Indian Railways at a cost of ₹20.18 lakh. The free Wi-Fi in the three locations will be for three years. RailTel had been asked to sign an agreement with the district authority and to commission the facilities by February 15.

Administrative sanction has been accorded for the Wi-Fi in these three places by the District Collector K. Vasuki.

Other places in the state capital where there is already Wi-Fi are Trivandrum Central Station and at Trivandrum International Airport.
