Stadium to get new name
IL &FS will auction the name of the stadium – now called as ‘Greenfield International Stadium, Kariyavattom’. Qatar Airways, Oman Air and Emirates airlines companies are in the fray. Once the name is auctioned the stadium will be known in the name of the company that wins the right. It’s a common practise to auction the name of the stadiums.
Meanwhile, the work of the facilities for the basketball, badminton, squash, table tennis and billiards will be completed by October.
