Indrajith and Murali Gopy team up for ‘Kaanchi’

The story is written by award winning movie "Ozhimuri", scenarist Jeyamohan.

Indrajith and Murali Gopy have just delivered a huge hit with their latest film ‘Left Right Left’. Now the duo has teamed up again in the new Malayalam movie titled “Kaanchi“.

The movie will be directed by Krishnakumar and Murali Gopy will come in a negative role. Kaanchi sketches an ordinary story which is very true to real life. The film tells the story of an innocent and loving young man Madhavan who runs a grocery store in his village and leads a contented family life. However some expected events make drastic changes in his life. The resulting complicated events in the life of Madhavan form the crux of ‘Kanchi’.

“It’s a movie that is set in a village in Palakkad and has a unique thread that shows the story of the village as well as a gun simultaneously. The gun in the film is one of those things that you find because you were meant to, and the story traces that path.” says Indrajith

The story, script, and dialogues are written by award winning movie “Ozhimuri“, scenarist Jeyamohan. Jeyamohan, who already has 3 big projects in Tamil with directors Bala, Mani Ratnam and Vasanthabalan, has already finished scripting Kaanchi.

“It’s an entertaining thriller and unlike my previous films, there is no slice of reality involved. Indrajith’s and Murali’s are exciting characters,” says Jeyamohan,

Archana Gupta would be the heroine of the film. Maria John, Sathaar, Kannan Pattambi, Sunil Sukhadha, Shine Tom Chacko, P Balachandran, Siju Roselyn and others include the cast. Ravichandran is the man behind the camera seat, while editing would be performed by Babu Rathnam. Ronnie Raphael will compose the tunes with the lyrics of G N Padmakumar. ‘Kanchi’ is produced by Haneef Muhammed under the banner of Red Rose Creations.
