Director Shanker’s magnum opus film ‘Ai<\/strong>‘ starring Vikram and Amy Jackson is almost complete and expected to release this summer. The film has been on floors for close to two years.<\/p>\n

Like his previous films, details of Shankar’s Ai <\/a>have been kept under wraps. Recently the director revealed few details about the film on his social networking page. “If ‘all is well’ ‘Ai’ will be ready for summer. Since this is a big film the release depends upon the producer’s plan. Catch you soon!” he posted on his page.<\/p>\n

Director Shankar has also said that Ai will include all the elements viewers want. Most of Shankar’s films deals with social problems and patriotism. However, Ai will be a romantic-thriller like Jeans and Enthiran.<\/p>\n

The visual effects for the movie has been done by the famous Weta Digital of New Zealand which did visual effects to famous Hollywood films such as The Lord of the Rings, Avatar, X-Men etc. The filming was done across eight countries across the globe including China and Bangkok.<\/p>\n

Vikram<\/a> has done lot of physical transformations for this movie which will be a major highlight. The actor also followed a strict diet regimen for this movie. The film stars Amy Jackson in the female lead. Ai also features Bollywood actor and international model Upen Patel, Suresh Gopi and Santhanam in important roles.<\/p>\n

AI’s music is composed by A.R.Rahman and P.C.Sreeram joins Shankar for the first time as the cinematographer. The budget of the film is above the 100-crore mark\u00a0and is produced and distributed by Venu Ravichandran of Aascar Films.
