Vishnu, a seventh standard student did not hesitate when doctors at the <a href=\"http:\/\/listing.entecity.com\/business\/medical-college-hospital\" target=\"_blank\">medical college hospital<\/a> asked him, if he was willing to give consent for donation of his mother&#8217;s heart valves. The accident that killed his mother happened two days ago when Vishnu and his mother were on their way to Shangumukham beach for a Sunday outing.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_10106\" style=\"width: 487px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10106\" class=\"size-full wp-image-10106\" src=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/files\/2013\/05\/Screen-Shot-2013-05-07-at-5.27.44-PM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"477\" height=\"247\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-10106\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Img source: manoramaonline.com<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The heart valves were removed during the autopsy at the Trivandrum Medical College, have been handed over to the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Science and Technology.<\/p>\n<p>His mother\u2019s heart valves will save the lives of two heart patients. The valves are now kept in the organ bank of the institute.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The recipients of these valves have not been identified yet. Before implanting it on any anybody, we have to go through such proceedings as sterilising tests to establish the worthiness of the valves,&#8221; Dr S K Jawahar of the Sree Chitra Institute said.<\/p>\n<p>Radhika, a government employee, was riding her scooter with Vishnu on the pillion when an auto rickshaw collided with her scooter. Though she was rushed to a nearby hospital, she was declared dead by the doctors at the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Vishnu, who miraculously escaped from the accident suffered minor injuries and has been discharged from the hospital.
