According to the development plan, an \u2018<strong>amenity block<\/strong>\u2019 will be constructed on Corporation land and a park near the harbour. Also Kovalam bus stand and nearby areas will be developed.<\/p>\n<p>The development plan also includes the construction of Walkways linking various beaches. One of the footpaths will link the ITDC beach and the<a href=\"http:\/\/listing.entecity.com\/business\/uday-samudra-leisure-beach-hotel\" target=\"_blank\"> Udaya Samudra<\/a> beach, while another footpath will connect with the Harbour Road. For the convenience of tourists, the corporation will also prepare detailed road signs and local maps. The lack of sufficient lighting at night will be addressed in the development project. In 2011, Trivandrum recorded 2, 24,387 foreign tourist arrivals and 12, 88,555 domestic tourist arrivals.
