Even though Google had launched a numerous updates for Android in last I/O Conference, the name, Lime Pie was missing in the whole conference. There was (is) a great anticipation against Android Lime Pie for almost half an year. When Google had announced a dedicated Android event in 29 October 2012, we expected the OS but Android team still was with Jelly Bean.

Still, we cannot say Google was utterly silent about Lime Pie because in a session, in order to tease the attendees, there was a slide of Lime Pie and Jelly Bean. Still there is no official word from Google about the release date or major features of Android v5.0 Lime Pie. However, to serve your excited mind, let us get some information about Lime Pie from World Wide Web because you cannot leave rumors that much. Let us first go category wise

Lime Pie on Smartphones

Rumors were there regarding Lime Pie based Android Smartphone from Q3 2012 itself. Their first guess was Nexus 4 but it was launched working on Android Jelly Bean. After this failed rumor, some rumors suggested that Motorola X Phone would be launched at Google I/O 2013 running on v5.0. Rumors also made world to expect Nexus 5 in Google I/O but it was not launched so. In the backup of several rumors, Nexus 5 was expected in Google I/O Conference but it was replaced by a Galaxy S4 running on Android Jelly Bean v4.2.

Tablets

Since Nexus 7 was a rock star of Google I/O 2012, we had an expectation of re-vamped Nexus 7 in I/O 2013 but there was not a word about it. However, the latest rumors are stating that Google is not teamed with ASUS in order to get a new Android v5.0 running Tablet PC.

Upgrades

However, there is no official word about it, according to a Sam mobile source, Some Samsung Smartphones such as S4, S3, Note II, Note 8.0 and Note 10.1 will be receiving Lime Pie Update.

Expected Features of Lime Pie

Some sources said in February that Google is now working on Linux 3.8 Kernel, which was expected to be for Lime Pie. If they were doing so, Android Lime Pie would be gifted with lower RAM usage and hence good speed and multi-tasking.

Babble, the cross platform messaging by Google, now known as Google Hangouts will be a part of Lime Pie

Android Police found one Google Glass App, MyGlass, which could integrate Google Glass with Android Smartphone.

On top of all, a huge change is expected in Android’s User Interface as it may move from a brighter one like Gingerbread. The brighter UI was replaced by a dark one first in Ice Cream Sandwich.

Wish list of Lime Pie

Performance profiles for power management

Enhanced Social Network support so that easily connect Facebook and Twitter to our Phone rather than using their Application.

Multi-selection in contacts for easier management

Never update option for Applications so that Applications will not trouble us by forcing us to update them.

Multi-device SMS Synchronization

If these features are getting included in the latest version of Android, it is sure that it could beat up other mobile platform along with some features of other Google products. Since a large amount of features are already announced in the I/O Conference and there is no chance of the OS launch soon. Still, we could wait a while to see the beast unleashed.

These are what we can get about Android Lime Pie from the web. Do you find any noticeable piece of rumor in web?
