Yamaha Motor India announced the launch of its second scooter offering for the Indian market \u2013 Ray Z at Rs 48,555. The new variant comes a year after the launch of the initial “Ray” model which was developed to target young women. However, Ray Z has been developed to target young male users between 16-22 years.<\/p>\n

The new Yamaha Ray Z comes with fresh decals and a few other cosmetic tweaks. The scooter retains the older scooter’s familiar proportions and looks more sporty and youthful with a more colourful set of graphics. \u00a0Ray Z features a smoked-finish visor for a motorcycle-like image, aluminium rear wing-shaped tandem rider grab-bars and carbon fiber patterned seat cover material. It also sports a new instrument panel with a carbon fiber patterned background and the large and flush fitted headlight still dominates the raked front apron.<\/p>\n

The new model is powered by an air-cooled four-stroke 113cc engine with continuous variable transmission with the initial model with a maximum power output of 7.1 PS. The model provides a mileage of 53 km per litre.<\/p>\n

Yamaha also introduced two new model variations in the Yamaha SZ sport model series named the \u201cSZ-RR\u201d and \u201cSZ-S.\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0 The SZ-RR features a sporty styling with special features like its smoked windscreen, aluminium grab-bars and 3D \u201cSZ\u201d emblem. While the SZ-S features a simpler design in the fuel tank that creates a calmer, more composed impression.<\/p>\n

Yamaha Ray Z price in India is Rs 48,555.<\/strong> The SZ-RR carries an ex-showroom Delhi price tag of Rs 62,500, the SZ-S will cost Rs 59,500.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
