Priced between 21.93 Lakh and 22.73 Lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai) the A Class targets young professionals of the country.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Also Look @<\/strong>\u00a0<a title=\"Mercedes-Benz unveiled redesigned 2014 S-class\" href=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/mercedes-benz-unveiled-redesigned-2014-s-class\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mercedes-Benz unveiled redesigned 2014 S-class<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The A class embodies the changing preference of the youth in today&#8217;s social milieu who increasingly prefer compact luxury, be it the compact cell phones, laptops,&#8221; Eberhard Kern, CEO and managing director of Mercedes-Benz India, said at the launch event in Mumbai.<\/p>\n<h2>Mercedes A-class Features and Specifications<\/h2>\n<p>The A 180 Sport petrol is equipped with a 7-inch smoked grey alloy wheels, panoramic sunroof, black diamond pattern trim seats, contrasting topstitching on the door centre panels and armrests. The instrument cluster comes with silver-finish dials. Dimensionally, the A Class measures 4.29m long, 1.78m wide and 1.43m tall. The petrol version weighs 1,395 kg while the diesel version weighs 1,505 kg. The Boot space stands at 341 litre and can be extended to 1,157 litre by folding the 60:40 split seats.<\/p>\n<p>The two new A-Class models &#8211; A 180 Sport and A 180 CDI Style are available in both petrol and diesel options. The petrol A 180 CGI packed with a high-tech 4-cylinder 1.6 litre unit featuring a turbo, variable valve timing and direct fuel injection delivers 122 PS @ 5000 rpm and 200 Nm of twist between 1250-4000 rpm. The car can accelerate from 0-100 kph in 9.2 seconds before attaining a top speed of 202 kph. Fuel economy stands at 15.5 kmpl. It also features Direct-injection turbocharger technology, 11 drive assistance systems, 14.7 cm infotainment display system, multifunctional sporty steering wheels etc. The A class also sports many safety and comfort features such as 7 airbags, Acceleration Skid Control, ESC, Brake Assist,\u00a0 Tire pressure warning system, Hill Start Assist and Electronic Parking Brake.
