The new model will compete with those like Maruti Suzuki&#8217;s Dzire and Honda&#8217;s newly introduced model Amaze.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;With the launch of Verito Vibe, we will be able to create a new space, the sporty sedan segment. We see a huge opportunity in this segment.&#8221; Company Vice President (Sales) Vijay Nakra told reporters.<\/p>\n<p>The car will appeal to customers with its young and sporty looks. Mahindra claims that Verito Vibe has the looks of a hatchback but offers features and space of a sedan. Developed on the Renault&#8217;s Logan platform, Verito Vibe shares 80% common parts with its elder sibling Verito sedan and is powered by a 1.5 litre diesel engine. The car has a wide bodied compact body offering comfortable seating space for three adults in the rear seat and also has a large boot capacity of 330 litres.<\/p>\n<p>The engine and gearbox are same as that of Verito which means the Vibe has the proven<strong> Renault K9K 1.5 litre engine eight-valve version<\/strong> and 65PS\/160Nm on tap. It offers a linear power delivery and easy drivability and has an impressive fuel economy of 20.8 kmpl. No petrol engine is on offer for the moment.<\/p>\n<p>The Verito Vibe will be available in three variants &#8211; D2, D4 and D6. The top D6 variant gets ABS with EBD and one airbag for the driver. Smart looking &#8216;champagne&#8217; alloy wheels are also on offer. The car comes in a choice of seven colours.
