Stray dog menace is one of the problems faced by the residents of Trivandrum. The biggest threat posed by dogs is of course the fear of rabies. Packs of dogs roam the streets leading to panic among residents.<\/p>\n
Faced with public demand to control the stray dog menace that threatens to spin out of control and city corporation reluctant to take action, Commando Suresh and his team has stepped in to solve the crisis. If the Mayor grants permission the commando team will capture the stray dogs and conduct sterilization of dogs free of cost.<\/p>\n
21 specially trained persons from the Commando Dog hostel and Training centre in Peyad run by Commando Suresh will carry out this operation. The team will catch the dogs and will send it to the Veterinary hospitals for sterilization. “Already a letter, requesting to grant permission to carry out the operation has been sent to Trivandrum City Mayor” said Commando Suresh. The team is ready to spring into action, as soon as the corporation grants permission. To avoid wounding the dogs, special ropes made of silk are being used.<\/p>\n
The main victims of the canine threat are morning and evening walkers, pedestrians, newspapermen and milkmen riding bikes, and students who commute on foot to schools and tuition centres, especially in the morning.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
