Moreover, passengers need not carry the printed tickets during the journey. Describing the step as environment-friendly, a senior IRCTC official said &#8220;mobile-based booking provides the users ease and convenience of booking tickets from anywhere and anytime. There will be no requirement of a printout because the ticketing message will be considered as valid during the journey.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>How it works?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>To use this service, you have to register your mobile number with the IRCTC as well as your bank first. Then, the bank will provide you with a Mobile Money Identifier (MMID) and a one-time password (OTP) for payment authorisation.<\/p>\n<p>To book the ticket, you need to type the &#8216;Train Number&#8217;, destination, journey date, class and other personal details and send an SMS to the dedicated number. Then, you will receive transaction ID and then make payment by sending another SMS by typing PAY followed by the transaction ID, MMID received from the bank and password.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a title=\"JTBS centre soon to be launched in Technopark\" href=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/jtbs-centre-soon-to-be-launched-in-technopark\/\" target=\"_blank\">JTBS centre launched in Technopark<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>User will be charged Rs 3 per SMS and will also have to pay Rs5 for the payment gateway \u00a0for an amount up to Rs 5,000 and Rs 10 for more than Rs 5,000.
