Last November Samsung launched the Android-based Galaxy Camera, a digital camera which acts like a Smartphone. Now the Korean Smartphone maker is back with Galaxy S4 Zoom<\/strong> which combines an Android Smartphone with a 16-megapixel camera and 10X zoom lens.<\/p>\n

The handset borrowed the design from the Galaxy S4<\/a>, with rounded corners, aluminium edging and illuminated touch-sensitive face buttons at the front. The Galaxy S4 zoom weighs 208 grams and the body is 15.4 millimetres thick. In comparison, Galaxy Camera<\/a> weighs 300 grams and is 19.1 millimeters thick.<\/p>\n

The Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom<\/em><\/span> comes with a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED qHD display with a resolution of 540×960 pixels. The Smartphone is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, with 1.5GB of RAM and offers 8GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 64GB via microSD card.\u00a0 The device runs on the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI and a\u00a02,330mAh battery.<\/p>\n

The 16.3-megapixel camera primary camera of Galaxy S4 Zoom is equipped with 10x optical zoom and built-in Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS). The camera is capable of recording 1080p video and includes a Xenon flash for low-light images. Users can control the zoom lens by using the surrounding dial, which also extends and contracts it when not in use. There is a 1.9-megapixel front camera.<\/p>\n

The ISO can be adjusted up to 3200 and can click continuous shots at 4fps max with auto focus. The camera also comes with up to 25 smart mode options. Samsung has the camera bundled with unique software add-ons- Smart mode select and smart modes suggest.<\/p>\n

Connectivity options include 3G, LTE, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and A-GPS. The Galaxy S4 zoom also comes with a bunch of pre-loaded Samsung-specific apps like Samsung Link, HomeSync, Samsung Hub and Group Play among others.<\/p>\n

Samsung didn’t say how much the Galaxy S4 zoom will cost, or when it will ship.<\/p>\n
