Italian two-wheeler major Piaggio<\/strong> has launched the improved version of the earlier and original Vespa scooter, the Vespa VX 125<\/strong>. \u00a0Vespa is targeted at the young and middle-age audience and the new Vespa VX is expected to become a hit among the youth for its slender and trendy look.<\/p>\n

Though the new variant is not much different from the older Vespa models the Vespa VX<\/strong> packs additional features like front disc brake, tubeless tyres and optional beige seat. The Vespa VX has a monocoque chassis and linked suspension at front and single-sided suspension at rear will come in Metallic Green and Dual tone Red & Pink.<\/p>\n

The scooter is powered by the same four-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine displacing 125cc and breathing through 3-valves. \u00a0The carburetted engine delivers a maximum power of 10.06bhp at 7500rpm, with peak torque, 1.08kgm delivered at 6000rpm. Power is transferred to the rear wheel through a CVT transmission and feeds in smoothly with no vibrations. The VX offers good ride quality, and goes round corners with adequate stability.<\/p>\n

The major upgrade to the Vespa VX is the 200mm front disc brake, which address a common complaint about the lack of adequate braking in the standard model. The VX also gets revised instruments, with a black dial, an optional beige seat, an extended chrome grab handle for the pillion and MRF Zapper tyres.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The scooter will come in two new colour options- Pink and Blue<\/strong>. However, the company has withdrawn the black and maroon options due to low demand.<\/p>\n

Prices of Vespa VX in India will be out by June 20<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
