Awaiting environmental clearance from the Central Government, the Vizhinjam International Seaport is in its most crucial phase. This can be called the prime time to have a discussion on the current master plan and its impact on economic and social development\u201d said TDF in its press release.<\/p>\n<p>The symposium will cover topics such as current global maritime trade scenario and importance of\u00a0 <strong>Vizhinjam port,<\/strong> \u00a0evolution of project plan from 2003-13, environment impact assessment study report- a brief analysis, impact on economic and social development and plan for the future. People attending the symposium will get an opportunity to express their valuable opinions which will be forwarded to concerned authorities. They can also seek clarification from the expert panel as well.<\/p>\n<p>N.Appukuttan Pillai, Port and Coastal Engineering expert and Former Executive Engineer at Harbour Engineering dept, GoK; C.Radha Krishnan, Additional Director (Retd, Department of Fisheries); E.M Najeeb, President, Confederation of Kerala Tourism Industry and Deepak Benny, Port planning Consultant, Singapore are the panel of experts at the symposium.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trivandrum Development Front (TDF)<\/strong> is a dynamic group of activists with a deep passion to promote the development of Trivandrum.
