However, the player is compatible only with Sony 4K TVs.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-11927\" src=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/files\/2013\/07\/Capture12-697x513.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"446\" height=\"328\" srcset=\"https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2013\/07\/Capture12-697x513.jpg 697w, https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2013\/07\/Capture12.jpg 725w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 446px) 100vw, 446px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The disc shaped 4K player has a dimension of 9.8 x 2.1 x 9.8 with 25cm in diameter and weighs 2.2 kg. The FMP-X1 has a hard drive capacity of 2 terabytes and the video is output in 2160p (3840 by 2160 pixels). For connectivity it uses Ethernet, separate HDMI outputs for audio and video, USB 3.0 and 2.0 for external HDD and a SD card slot. Sony is using 4K encoders from <strong>EyeIO<\/strong> but isn\u2019t divulging details of the compression rate for its 4K video. However, according to Sony, the 10 movies will take up about 400 gigabytes total on the FMP-X1, or an average of 40 GB per film.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-11929\" src=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/files\/2013\/07\/Capture3-768x401.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"491\" height=\"257\" srcset=\"https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2013\/07\/Capture3-768x401.jpg 768w, https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2013\/07\/Capture3.jpg 894w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 491px) 100vw, 491px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It comes with pre-loaded <strong>10 full-length movies<\/strong> out of the box &#8211; The Amazing Spider-Man, Bad Teacher, The Karate Kid, The Other Guys, Battle: Los Angeles, That&#8217;s My Boy, Salt, Total Recall 2012, Taxi Driver and The Bridge on the River Kwai. The company also said that Video Unlimited 4K &#8212; Sony&#8217;s dedicated 4K video distribution service &#8212; is on schedule for a fall launch.
