Kazhakootam is the IT capital of Kerala and is fast emerging as the most happening place in Trivandrum. However, the railway station at Kazhakootam has been neglected and forgotten.<\/p>\n

Kazhakootam railway station<\/strong> is the nearest railway station to Technopark and many people from other district who works at Technopark depend on Kazhakootam railway station.\u00a0 Only few trains stop at this station. Hoards of people rushing to the trains especially on Friday evenings to catch the 5:50pm Vanchinad Express<\/strong> is a common sight at Kazhakootam railway station. Many people are not able to get tickets on time.<\/p>\n

To put an end to this misery, an initiative called \u2018Stop @ Kazhakoottam\u201d<\/strong> campaign has been launched by the Resident associations at Kazhakootom for the Technopark<\/a> employees. The first convention of the campaign will take place on Thursday 18th of July<\/strong>at St,Josephs Parish Hall , at 4.00 PM. MP\u2019s ,MLA\u2019s and other Dignitaries are expected to attend this campaign.<\/p>\n

There are only three trains that stop at Kazhakootam during office hours- Trivandrum-Ernakulam Vanchinad Express at 5.53pm, Malabar Express at 8:15am, Chennai-Trivandrum (Monday) at 5:55am. Public demands that Malabar Express which departs from 6.25pm, Venad express that arrives Trivandrum Central at 9:45pm, Banglore-Kochuveli express at 8:30am, Jayanthi Janatha Express at 9:30am should be given stops at Kazhakootam.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
