{"id":12939,"date":"2013-08-06T14:50:39","date_gmt":"2013-08-06T09:20:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/?p=12939"},"modified":"2013-08-07T11:27:55","modified_gmt":"2013-08-07T05:57:55","slug":"rs5000-crore-investment-for-technocity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/rs5000-crore-investment-for-technocity\/","title":{"rendered":"Rs5000 Crore Investment for TechnoCity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Being developed as the Phase IV expansion of Technopark,<a title=\"TechnoCity \u2013 The future belongs here?\" href=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/technocity-the-future-belongs-here\/\" target=\"_blank\"> <strong>Technocity<\/strong><\/a>, the largest IT project in Kerala is all set to get an investment of <strong>Rs 5000<\/strong> over a period of 5 years.<\/p>\n<p>Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) alone will invest Rs3500 crore for setting up their \u2018Global Learning Academy\u2019, World\u2019s largest training academy of its kind. Out of total 431acres of Technocity, 97 acres is allotted for TCS campus.<\/p>\n<p>The self-sustained IT Township project which is located just five kilometres away from the<a title=\"Technopark Phase 3 to include entertainment hub and shopping malls\" href=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/technopark-phase-3-to-include-entertainment-hub-and-shopping-malls\/\"> Technopark<\/a> spreads over an area of 431 acres of land on both sides of NH-47 from Pallipuram to Mangalapuram. Already the master plan of the Technocity is completed by Jayachandran &amp; Associates, designers and project associates, the firm behind the master-plan of Technopark.<\/p>\n<p>According to the master plan two Special Economic Zones that has a land area of 50 acres and 33 acres will be allotted. <strong>IITM-K<\/strong> will receive 10.33 acres of land while SunTec will receive 10acres. The 19.16acres of land which was meant for <a title=\"National Games Village to come up in Trivandrum\" href=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/national-games-village-to-come-up-in-trivandrum\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>National Games village<\/strong><\/a> will be used for IT purpose as the Games village project has been shifted to Menamkulam. However 76.16acres of land which caught up in legal issues is yet to be resolved and 27.18 acre is left vacant. 100 families have been relocated for the Technocity project.<\/p>\n<p>Technopark will directly invest Rs500-600 crores. The objective of Technocity is to provide infrastructure and facilities of the IT companies. Already, Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (IITM) and the Asian School of Business (ASB) have started functioning here.<\/p>\n<p>Technocity will contain world class Infrastructure facilities for IT\/ITES Industry, residential blocks, educational institutions, banking facilities, hotels and restaurants, health care facilities, recreation centres, entertainment facilities, shopping mall etc. The project is expected to generate 1 lakh direct employments in the IT sector.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Being developed as the Phase IV expansion of Technopark, Technocity, the largest IT project in Kerala is all set to get an investment of Rs 5000 over a period of 5 years.
