Korean electronics giant LG has launched its latest flagship smartphone – LG G2<\/strong> in an event in New York. The G2 will be the first smartphone to be launched as part of the company\u2019s new \u201cG\u201d series. The device will compete with Samsung Galaxy S4<\/a> as well as the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note III and the next iPhone.<\/p>\n

The key feature of G2 is that the phone has a rear button that doubles up as power key, volume rocker, QuickMemo, and camera key.\u00a0 The G2 weighs 142 and has an overall dimension of 5.5 x 2.8 x 0.35 inches.<\/p>\n

LG G2 sports a 5.2\u201d full-HD IPS screen with 1920 x 1080resolution. The device is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 800 chipset<\/strong> clocked at 2.2 GHz and 2GB of RAM. The G2 offers Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) and comes with a 3000mAh battery which provides amazing backup. The device will come in 2 internal storage model- 16 GB and 32 GB. No expansion slot is included.<\/p>\n

For imaging it uses a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2.1-megapixel front camera. LG claims that the smartphone offers superior low-light imaging with the help of OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

LG has heavily customized the software with the so called UX features that improve the usability of the device such as- Slide Aside<\/strong> which allows you to multi-task by simply \u201csliding\u201d open apps off to the side using a three-finger swipe, Guest Mode<\/strong> to protects owner\u2019s privacy by displaying only pre-selected apps when guests access the phone with a secondary unlock pattern and Answer Me<\/strong> which automatically answers the call after lowering the ringtone when the phone is raised to one\u2019s ear.<\/p>\n

The LG G2 will release within the coming months, although the company did not offer a specific release date for its latest flagship smartphone.<\/p>\n
