Tata Motors launched a new variant of its sports utility vehicle (SUV) Safari Storme ‘Explorer Edition\u2019<\/strong> at starting price of Rs10.86 lakhs<\/strong>. The new edition, ‘Tata Safari Storme Explorer’,<\/em> comes with customised outdoor essentials and a host of technology features.<\/p>\n

On the outside, the Special Edition has an ‘Explorer Edition’ signature decals, new Explorer Edition door visors, new chrome garnish for the projector headlamps and tail lamps, a front nudge guard.<\/p>\n

The more utilitarian aspects of the vehicle are a customized cycle carrier, a cargo basket for added storage space and a roof-mounted Canopylets<\/strong> for turning the off-roader into a make-shift home in the wilderness.<\/p>\n

The interiors of the Explorer Edition have also been spruced up with top-of-the-line Blaupunkt\u00a02-DIN touch screen infotainment system that supports USB sticks, memory cards, iPod, iPhone and portable hard disk. The on-screen reverse parking assist feature and a navigation system complete the Explorer Edition driver assistance package quite nicely.<\/p>\n

Safari Storme Explorer Edition is powered by the Safari Storme’s 2.2Litre VariCOR 16 valve DOHC VTT<\/strong> 33 bit engine, which produces 140 PS of max power and 320 Nm of peak torque. According to the company, the vehicle can achieve 0 to 100 km\/h mark in less than 15 seconds. Tata also claims a fuel efficiency of 14 kmpl. The Special Edition model also features ESOF (electronic shift on the fly) technology, enabling engagement of the 4×4 or 4X2 mode, on the move. \u00a0Safari Storme ‘Explorer Edition\u2019 Price is Rs10.86 lakhs.<\/strong><\/p>\n
