Horticorp and Horticulture Mission have joined hands to ensure that people of the city get all essential vegetables at their doorsteps at least two days in advance to help them get their \u2018<strong>Onasadya\u2019<\/strong> ready.<\/p>\n<p>Residents\u2019 associations are being roped for ensuring the smooth functioning of the scheme. All vegetables required for Onam will be made available through the resident associations about 2 to 3 days in advance. These associations will then sell the vegetables to the residents.<\/p>\n<p>These vegetables will be sold at a price <strong>30 per cent less<\/strong> than those prevailing in the open market. The vegetables are procured from the farmers inside the State. Procurement will be done from areas including Munnar, Vattavada, Marayur, and Kanthalloor.<\/p>\n<p><strong>20 mobile units<\/strong> of the Horticorp, including the \u2018Haritha\u2019 mobile grocery units deployed in Trivandrum will make more rounds and stay for longer durations in the day for the festival. Apart from these, stalls will set up in association with the Supplyco. Already, an Onam bazaar stall is functioning at Palayam.<\/p>\n<p>A <strong>20,000-sqft<\/strong> procurement centre is coming up at the World Market in Anayara.
