While it won&#8217;t be the first Toyota hybrid in India, the new Camry is the first ever hybrid car to be locally manufactured.<\/p>\n<p>The new Camry Hybrid looks identical to its non-hybrid counterpart, but Toyota has introduced a number of new features to make it more alluring. The front end has a very <strong>Lexus-esque exterior<\/strong> styling and the bigger chrome grill and headlamps, along with the raised front hood lines, give the car a very premium look.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-13574\" alt=\"Toyota Camry Interior\" src=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/files\/2013\/09\/toyota-camry-01-768x511.jpg\" width=\"491\" height=\"327\" srcset=\"https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2013\/09\/toyota-camry-01-768x511.jpg 768w, https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2013\/09\/toyota-camry-01-222x148.jpg 222w, https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2013\/09\/toyota-camry-01.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 491px) 100vw, 491px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Camry is spacious premium sedan with outstanding levels of refinement. The beige theme syncs well with the black soft touch upper half for the dash which is leather and the door pads. The use of wood veneer and the seats that are a mix of real and artificial leather with a supple feel adds beauty to the interiors.<\/p>\n<p>Camry Hybrid is based on the seventh generation Camry platform. It boasts of a 2.5-litre 4-cylinder in-line, 16-valve, DOHC petrol engine mated to a more powerful permanent magnet synchronous motor. The 2494cc large-four comes with Toyota\u2019s VVT-I top end feature and in this guise it is good for 160 PS (at 5700 rpm) and 213 Nm of torque (at 4500 rpm).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-13576\" alt=\"toyota-camry-hybrid-engine-8_560x420\" src=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/files\/2013\/09\/toyota-camry-hybrid-engine-8_560x420.jpg\" width=\"448\" height=\"336\" srcset=\"https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2013\/09\/toyota-camry-hybrid-engine-8_560x420.jpg 560w, https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2013\/09\/toyota-camry-hybrid-engine-8_560x420-120x90.jpg 120w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 448px) 100vw, 448px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The car is armed with the <strong>Hybrid Synergy Drive<\/strong>, a system which automatically changes the source of power depending on the driving conditions. The engine and the motor can deliver a total power output of 205PS.
