Kerala is gearing up for the “Entrepreneurship Day<\/strong>” which celebrates the power and potential of its enterprising young population on September 12, with one of the biggest online connects the state has ever seen.<\/p>\n

Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will address more than 2 million school and college students via Google Plus Hangout at 1 pm on Thursday, September 12. The hangout is aimed at encouraging the students to become job creators and not job seekers.<\/strong> Minister for IT and Industry\u00a0 P K Kunhalikutty is expected to join the CM at the Hangout.<\/p>\n

Chief Minister’s message will be streamed live on YouTube <\/a>and also on via \u201cGoogle Plus Hangouts on Air\u201d. Colleges have been advised to make necessary arrangements to telecast the hangout in their campuses and circulars have been sent to all district educational offices. Anyone with a computer or a mobile phone with an internet connection will be able to watch the Hangout.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Chief Minister has addressed nearly 2,000 students over Skype at an event at Startup Village in July. The celebrations will also mark the one year of the landmark ‘Student Entrepreneurship Policy (SEP)’ announced by the government.<\/p>\n

Technopark Technology Business Incubator (TBI) and Startup Village will mark Kerala\u2019s entrepreneurial journey on a 150 metre long \u201cStartup Wall<\/strong>\u201d outside the Secretariat, Trivandrum. Startup Wall will inspire more young talents to join the start-up movement and will project Kerala as a state which has an ecosystem necessary for new enterprises to take wing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
