They thronged the sidewalks of MG Road to witness the grand procession in which more than 150 floats and 3000 artistes participated.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Dont Miss:<\/strong>\u00a0<a title=\"Photo Feature: Onam Pageantry 2013\" href=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/onam-pageantry-2013\/\" target=\"_blank\">Photo Feature: Onam Pageantry 2013 by Hareesh<\/a><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Each one of the float was a treat to the eyes of the spectators. The floats vied with each other in presenting the selected themes and all the floats maintained high standards in conveying the messages.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>The first prize for the best float when to the one presented by Information and Public Relations Department.<\/strong> This is the second time that I&amp; PR Department has won the first prize for floats among the government departments.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The float had the theme &#8220;<strong>Shreshtam Malayalam<\/strong>&#8221; depicting the attainment of classical language status by the Malayalam language. Artist Jinan of \u2018Shadows\u2019 designed the winning float.
