Octavia helped Skoda to become one of the important players in the Indian market.<\/p>\n<p>The third-generation Octavia is built on Volkswagen\u2019s new MQB variable platform and is 90mm longer and 45mm wider than the Laura. Changes in the exterior include three-dimensional flying arrow badge sits on the edge of the bonnet, flanked by two bold lines sweeping up till the windshield. There is a butterfly grille with 21 slats encompassed in chrome on the front.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-14195\" alt=\"Skoda Octavia Exterior\" src=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/files\/2013\/10\/Skoda-Octavia-Exterior.jpg\" width=\"450\" height=\"315\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On the inside, 2013 Octavia gets a huge improvement over the outgoing model in all aspects. Interiors look premium, seats are comfortable, and dual tone plastics feel softer. The cabin is much spacious and offers the largest cabin space in this segment. The boot space has also grown by another 5 litres to 590 litres. Car&#8217;s centre console contains a multi-monitor for parking assist, climate control, vehicle settings and a superb audio system.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-14194\" alt=\"Skoda Octavia Interior\" src=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/files\/2013\/10\/Skoda-Octavia-Interior.jpg\" width=\"504\" height=\"320\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There are 7 variants to the 2013 Octavia with three engine options &#8211; 1.4litre TSI petrol, speedy 1.8 litre TSI petrol and a 2.0 litre TDI CR diesel. Transmission options are a 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic and a 7-speed automatic. The 1.4 TSI offers 140PS and 250Nm and the 1.8 TSI delivers 180PS and 250Nm, while the 2.0 TDI offers 143PS and 320Nm. \u00a0All engines are turbocharged and use direct injection.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-14197\" alt=\"Skoda Octavia Side\" src=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/files\/2013\/10\/Skoda-Octavia-Side-1.jpg\" width=\"482\" height=\"250\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Other features on the new Octavia includes bi-xenon headlamps with quintessential airbags, DRLs, automatic sun-roof, cruise control, 16-inch alloys, parking sensors and cornering function for the lamps.
