Samsung is a step closer to achieving wearable devices with flexible screens.<\/p>\n<p>Galaxy Round, sports a 5.7-inch 1080p screen which is same as that of Note 3 but the panel is curved horizontally. \u00a0The device weighs less than the Galaxy Note 3, allowing a more comfortable grip than other flat-screen models on the market.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-14332\" alt=\"Samsung Galaxy Round\" src=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/files\/2013\/10\/Samsung-Galaxy-Round-635-2.jpg\" width=\"496\" height=\"320\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The curved display has a pixel density of 386ppi and runs Android 4.3. It is powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core processor and has 3GB of RAM. The phone is 7.9mm thick, weighs 154g, and has a 2800mAh battery. The rear camera is 13 megapixels, like the Galaxy S4 and Note 3 and has a 2.0-megapixel secondary camera. On the connectively front, it features Bluetooth v4.0, USB v3.0, NFC, Wi-Fi and LTE-A.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-14333\" alt=\"Galaxy Round curved display\" src=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/files\/2013\/10\/SAM_8897-665x424.jpg\" width=\"532\" height=\"339\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The benefit of this screen technology isn&#8217;t quite clear yet, but Samsung has added some new features to the Round.<\/p>\n<h3><b>Key features of Curved Display UI include:<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>Roll Effect:<\/b> Allows the user to look at information such as missed calls, battery life, and the date and time when the device is tilted it on a flat surface with the screen off.<\/p>\n<p><b>Bounce UI:<\/b> The feature allows the user to control the music player while the display is off. Just press the right side of the device to go to next track or press the left side to go back to the previous track.<\/p>\n<p><b>Gravity Effect:<\/b> It creates visual interaction with the smartphone by tilting the screen.<\/p>\n<p><b>Side Mirror:<\/b> It allows the user to gain easy access to the list of albums just with a left or right tilt.<\/p>\n<p>The new curved display Samsung Galaxy Round will go on sale in South Korea for 1,089,000 Won (approximately \u20b962,945) on 10 October.
