{"id":14392,"date":"2013-10-15T19:12:35","date_gmt":"2013-10-15T13:42:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/?p=14392"},"modified":"2013-10-15T19:12:35","modified_gmt":"2013-10-15T13:42:35","slug":"mad-to-organize-english-language-training","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/mad-to-organize-english-language-training\/","title":{"rendered":"MAD to organize English language training for the under privileged"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Make A Difference (MAD)<\/strong>, a not for profit, youth volunteer organization that works with the under privileged children of our society is providing them English language training with the help of education partner, Cambridge University Press.<\/p>\n<p>The English Project aims to provide the under privileged children a positive learning environment, bridging the educational disparities.\u00a0 In Trivandrum MAD works with the children at Sree Chitra Home, East Fort; Mahila Mandiram, Poojappura; Sacred Hearts, Nalanchira and LMS Girl\u2019s home, Palayam to conduct the project.<\/p>\n<p>Apart from English Training, MAD will also conduct placement activities for children which includes exposing them to various career opportunities and also interactive session with professional artists, actors etc to widen their perspective once they finish their schooling.<\/p>\n<p>MAD is spread over 23 cities, with more than 1200 volunteers, teaching more than 5000 children, in India. The organization conducts public events on a monthly basis to raise funds for their cause. Last month, the organization hosted a Football-Basketball tournament titled \u2018MAD Supercup\u2019 in the city and earlier this month, MAD conducted a cupcake baking workshop titled \u201c<a title=\"Sweet little things \u2013 Cupcake baking workshop in Trivandrum\" href=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/cupcake-baking-workshop-in-trivandrum\/\">Sweet Little Things<\/a>\u201d in association with VIVO, a Technopark based non-profit organisation.<\/p>\n<p>On the 26th of October, MAD is organising<strong> MAD-O-MANIA<\/strong>\u2019 a city level School event targeting all the school students in Trivandrum.
