Kerala based start-up company, Livares Technologies<\/a> has come out with a new android app called ‘Phone Away<\/strong>‘ that allows the users to access their mobile phones remotely. With the ‘Phone Away’ app, you can access the contents of your smart phone from another phone or even from a PC.<\/p>\n

After installing the app in your Smartphone, you have to register using an alternative mobile phone number in the app, which could be used to get access your original phone. SMS, E-mail or both can be used to access the phone.<\/p>\n

Once the app is installed, it will keep running in the background silently. To use the phone as a remote control device, just give a specified number of missed calls defined by the user or by sending specific SMS command to the phone, complete with user-defined passcode for authentication. This will then ‘activate’ the application and internet connectivity will be switched on using either Wi-Fi or GPRS\/3G automatically to facilitate communication.<\/p>\n

Phone Away app can be used to perform a host of functions including accessing the contacts directory from the phone and locating a lost phone that is set on silent mode by activating the remote-ringer capability. Another outstanding feature of the app is that it can pin-point phone’s location using its GPS and send the location to the user. This is really helpful in locating the mobile phone, when lost.<\/p>\n

Livares Technologies, the company behind Phone Away is based primarily in Technopark<\/strong>, Trivandrum and Start-up Village<\/strong> in Kochi. The company specialises in web based services, mobile application development and VoIP based services.<\/p>\n
