Each electrical section has got more than 2,500 streetlights.

Last month, Trivandrum Corporation failed to get response from contractors to its tender called on November 8. This made the civic body to down the minimum requirement for contractors from ‘licensed’ to ‘contractors having experience certificate from KSEB. As of now, only 15 contractors have come forward.

Initially, it was planned to deposit an advance amount of Rs.25 lakh with the KSEB to carry out the maintenance work. However, KSEB rejected this plan and sought details from the Corporation about the street lights installed in the 100 wards.

#EnteThiruvananthapuram: Soon, there will be no more dark nights in Trivandrum.
