With the entry of e-cards and SMS also still now the demands of Christmas cards have not come down in the city.<\/p>\n<p>According to some shop owners it is the big organisations and banks form a large part of customers as they buy cards to send Christmas and New Year wishes to their clients and customers. It is only due to the words cards carry, irrespective of age, customers prefer cards .For the first time Trivandrum is going to witness a shop at Putharikandam Maidan which displays the talents of Kudumbashree workers. For this <strong>city corporation has joined hands with Kudumbashree mission to start a week long chirtsmas \u2013New Year fair.<\/strong> The fair is opening expecting a huge rush of students and of residents from the city.<\/p>\n<p>The fair will not be a place to display the products made by them but also it will be an opportunity for them to show case their talents. As usual this time also a huge crowd will be seen in the shops in Palayam market and Chalai Market. The Christmas season will not be\u00a0 complete without Santa Claus, fondly called \u2018Christmas Father\u2019 by the people. Many of the shops in the city have placed their own Christmas Father to welcome the customers. \u00a0In the case of X\u2019mas star this time it is flooded with LED powered stars and X\u2019mas trees. As like in olden times this year also the demand for Chinese products is high. Price of LED starts range between RS 200 to RS 1500 while X\u2019mas trees cost between RS 50 to Rs700.Also a wide variety of crib sets are also available in the market priced between RS 500 and RS 3500. Christmas is also a time for the traders that double their business. Christmas products are mainly brought to the city from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kochi.
