The match went down to the penalty shootout after both the teams stuck onto 2-2 after the extra time. By this victory, UST Global has completed a hat trick of championships.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The match got off to an excellent start as Infosys scored two goals in the opening 10 minutes of the game. The goals were scored by Jayaram and their captain Subin Poolat. Though tense moments prevailed around the UST camp, the team held their nerve to equalise inside stipulated time by the goals of Lal Krishna and Binu S Kumar. The extra time saw both the teams fighting for the winning goal, but defended well to lead the game to penalties. In penalties, Infosys went down to UST by 4-2 and the championship was retained by them. Earlier, Allianz defeated Nest 1-0 to win the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> Runner-up trophy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The chief guest for the closing ceremony was Shri AM Sreedharan, the coach of the Kerala football team. The function was also presided over by Hema Menon, UST Center Head (Trivandrum) and Subhash Parameswaran, Head of IS, UST Global. Binu S Kumar of UST Reds was awarded the \u2018Player of the Tournament\u2019 for his outstanding contribution throughout the tournament. Pradeep from Allianz was given the \u2018Top Scorer Award\u2019 for scoring 5 goals in the tournament.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">So, football fever in Technopark has come to an end temporarily.
