Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has agreed to be in charge of the project and will have to be completed within six months if allotted with the task. The project will require less land procurement than originally planned. It is said that a detailed project report will be made at the earliest by E Sreedharan, Principal Advisor to DMRC.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Mr. Sreedharan is of the opinion that the road should be closed down for the execution of the project by facilitating alternative traffic arrangements. Mayor Tony Chammany said that the work didn\u2019t take off due to the lack of funds for the acquisition of nine acres needed for the project. DMRC believes that by limiting the width of over bridge to 10 metres, the land procurement can be reduced to 1 acre rather than 9 acres as per the initial plan.<\/p>\n<p>The rough estimate indicates that the cost of project completion will be around 30 crore. The corporation had planned to execute the project under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission scheme, which does not have provision for allocating funds for land acquisition.
