The renovated bridge was officially inaugurated by Chief Minister Sri Oommen Chandy. Union Minister of State for Food and Civil Supplies K V Thomas was the chief guest of the function.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/works-of-pachalam-overbridge-may-commence-soon\/\" target=\"_blank\">Works of Pachalam overbridge may commence soon<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The work which was carried out by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) got complete at a cost of around 50 crore in 2 years time. The first and fourth lanes were opened for the public in January. The decimation of existing bridge started in January and got completed in February. Only after that the works on second and third lane got started. It\u2019s believed that opening of this bridge will terminate the traffic burden of the city.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The length of the bridge is around 350 metres. It\u2019s said that all vehicles will have permission to use this bridge. Works Minister V K Ibrahim Kunju, Transport Minister Aryadan Mohammed, Excise Minister K Babu, Civil Supplies Minister Anoop Jacob and Mayor Tony Chammany, DMRC Principal Adviser E Sreedharan, DMRC MD Manghu Singh, Mayor Tony Chammany and District Collector P I Sheik Pareeth were also part of the function.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>#EnteKochi: Traffic headache in the city will be resolved soon as the renovated north overbridge was opened for the public yesterday.
