Streetlights will also be repaired. Measures will be taken to improve the drainage system in the festival area. The City Corporation will undertake the sanitation work. Kerala Sustainable Urban Development Project (KSUDP) will allocate Rs 1 crore to the Sewerage Division of the Kerala Water Authority (KWA) for the reconstruction of manholes in the city. To meet the heavy rush during the festival days, parking facilities will be extended.<\/p>\n<p>As part of strengthening the security, over 4,000 police personnel would be deployed and surveillance cameras are placed in the festival area. The cameras will operate from the beginning of the festival days. Apart from these, Fire and Rescue Services personnels and Medical teams of all streams of health services will also be present.<\/p>\n<p>A meeting convened by the Health and Devaswom Minister V S Sivakumar was held here to review the preparations for the festival.
