India Kawasaki Motors (IKM) launched two of its globally renowned motorcycles \u2013 Z1000- the first naked bike in India, and Ninja 1000 at Rs 12.5 lakh. The two models will be imported as Completely Built Units (CBU) from Japan and will be retailed through the existing standalone showroom of Kawasaki in Mumbai and Pune.<\/p>\n

The Z1000 and Ninja 1000 are both high performance motorcycles for experienced riders. Both the litre class bikes feature the same four-cylinder engine. They get the 1043cc liquid-cooled DOHC 16-valve in-line four engines with digital fuel injection. Both will make 142PS of power at 10000rpm and 111Nm of peak torque at 7300rpm.<\/p>\n

Kawasaki Z1000 and the Ninja 1000 features a twin-spar cast alloy frames similar to that found on the super sports Ninja ZX-10R. It also has fully adjustable and upside-down telescopic front suspension along with horizontal layout mono-shocks at rear. The brakes have ABS systems, with 310mm dual petal discs in front for the Z1000, 300mm for the Ninja 1000, and a single petal disc seen at rear on both bikes.<\/p>\n

With the two new launches, Kawasaki will now sell six models in India. Already, the Ninja 300 and Ninja 600 are sold at the Probiking showrooms of its Indian partner Bajaj Auto. These models are priced between Rs 3.5 lakh to Rs 5 lakh.<\/p>\n
